Chael Sonnen claims he is ready to step in to fight Jake Paul on July 20th.

It emerged that Mike Tyson had suffered a medical emergency on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday and that he was treated for an ulcer flare up after he had become nauseous and dizzy on the plane.

His representatives said: “Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing great. He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”

The former undisputed heavyweight champion then took to X formerly Twitter to address the recent events and took aim at his future opponent.

He wrote: “Now feeling 100% even though I don’t need to be to beat Jake Paul.”

UFC legend and king of trash talking Chael Sonnen took to X to make his bold claim.

He wrote: “I guess it was wise of Jake Paul to write me into the contract as Tyson’s backup, wasn’t it? If Jake Paul realises he might be fighting ME in a month, HE may be the one having a heart attack.”

Sonnen is actually set to face old foe Anderson Silva on June 15 in Brazil in a boxing contest having lost to the Brazilian in MMA both times he challenged him.

What is more likely is that Sonnen is using the Tyson health scare to promote his own fight.
