UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal has arrived at the negotiating table after being called out by YouTuber Jake Paul.
Masvidal was one of three fighters that Paul called out following his emphatic knockout victory over Tyron Woodley, with the other two being Nate Diaz and Tommy Fury.
‘Gambred’ is hardly the most esteemed boxing opposition that Paul could fight in his bid to strengthen his credentials, but he has previously beaten both Diaz and Ben Askren in the UFC.
Out of the options on the table for the YouTuber, Masvidal may well be both one of the toughest tests and the biggest money fights, so you can understand why he’s pursuing this avenue.

Unfortunately for all parties involved, however, striking a deal with the UFC to release Masvidal from his contract and then agreeing on terms for a boxing fight looks implausible at this point in time.
Masvidal arrived at the negotiating table with a tweet sent out which included proposed terms, but it only reaffirmed the difficulty of staging a fight with Paul.

There doesn’t really seem to be much in it for the YouTuber, especially in the scenario that he ‘boxes’ Masvidal in the octagon.
He’d be wise to look elsewhere for his next opponent and can revisit the idea of boxing Masvidal in the future when matters are not as complicated as they are now.
