CONFIRMED: Tyson Fury in Tommy’s corner for December bout with Jake Paul

Posted by

John Fury has revealed that Tyson Fury will be in brother Tommy’s corner when he faces Jake Paul on December 18th.

Tommy will be going toe-to-toe with a YouTuber turned boxer in Florida later this year. He can ill afford to lose if he wants to have any sort of credibility going forward in his boxing career.

John Fury has previously claimed that he will retire his son if he is unable to record a convincing win over Paul this winter. Perhaps that’s why they’ve rolled out the big gun for the battle.

Big John, speaking to BT Sport, revealed that Tyson will be flying out to the states to train Tommy ahead of the bout and will be in his corner on the night as he takes on Jake Paul.

“Tyson’s going to be in his corner that night. I think Tyson’s flying out there in a few weeks to help him out.”

“Whatever desire he’s missing, Tyson will put there, I’m sure of that.”

“Tyson will sort his head out so I’m looking for a Tommy win in explosive fashion – the end of Jake Paul.”

In case you needed any further confirmation of how seriously the Fury clan are taking this fight, there it is. Reputations are at stake and Tyson clearly wants to do all he can to help his brother.

Tommy has the more impressive boxing credentials, but Jake is riding a wave of invincibility at the moment. We get the impression that this fight could be a lot closer than many people think.
