Tyson Fury has revealed his desire to fight journeyman Chris Healey for the only belt that he is yet to add to his impressive collection.
Fury abandoned plans for an all-British battle with Anthony Joshua in favour of a trilogy fight with Derek Chisora, which all due respect, nobody wants to see.
The Gypsy King wants to be the only heavyweight champion in history to have two trilogy fights, which is the only reason he’s remotely interested in Chisora.
He’s intent on ticking boxes on his record before retiring from the sport, rather than pursuing big fights with tough opponents that fans actually want to see.
That’s epitomised by a report published by the Mirror which states that Fury has expressed an interest in fighting Chris Healey, 9-12, for the Central Area heavyweight title.
That’s the only belt that Fury is yet to win at heavyweight level, so he is understood to be keen on tussling with Healey in order to win it and complete his collection.
Of course, that would be an absolute circus of a fight, so we dearly hope that it does not happen, but nothing would surprise us with Fury anymore.
