🚨 Tyson Fury slammed by fans for what he said just moments after Oleksandr Usyk defeat

Tyson Fury lost to Oleksandr Usyk last night in Saudi Arabia.

‘The Gypsy King’ lost both his unbeaten record and his WBC heavyweight title to the Ukrainian and was defeated on the cards via split decision.

Fury got the better of the early rounds but was badly hurt in the ninth and after that Usyk dominated.

Split-decision verdicts are often controversial and the British heavyweight believes he won the fight.

“I believe I won that fight, I believe he won a few of the rounds, but I won the majority of them,” Fury said after the bout.

“We both put on a good fight. His country is at war, so people are siding with the country at war.

Fight fans responded to the interview on x formerly Twitter.

One said: ‘Very petty and shameful from Fury. Usyk clearly won the fíght.’

Another added: ‘Fury is a disgrace for his comments after the fight. Take the loss like a man.’

A third replied: ‘What is it with UK fighters with long speeches when they lose. Don’t give me that because of the war is why he got the decision.’

A fourth said: ‘Honestly shameful he blamed the war on Ukraine for the decision then say I’m not making excuses.’

Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999 when Lennox Lewis toppled Evander Holyfield.

There is a contracted rematch between Usyk and Fury so it’s likely we will see the fight again.
