Tyson Fury has shared his thoughts on the controversial Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul clash.
Tyson and Paul collide on July 20th, much to the dismay of the majority of fight fans but WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury has admitted heâs interested in the bout.
Speaking to The Stomping Ground as per MMAKnockout.com he said:
âI think itâs fantastic for boxing. Youâve got a legend in Mike Tyson. Youâve got a YouTube boxer [Jake Paul]. He has come into the game and blew it up and heâs got millions of followers and millions of views and millions of eyes. Good, bad or indifferent. Some people love him, some people hate him. So, I think itâs a really good spectacle for boxing. Brings a lot of people to the game.â

He added: âListen, who am I to say, âOh, Mike Tyson shouldnât be boxing or Jake Paul shouldnât be boxing, good luck to âem. Theyâre both gonna make what I call a s*** ton of money out of it. So, isnât that what itâs about?
â[Theyâre fighting at] a great stadium,â Fury referenced (AT&T Stadium),âItâd be fantastic for the guys both getting paid, both gonna put on a show. I just donât know whatâs not to like. Oh, okay, [Tysonâs] 57 years old, but heâs a former undisputed world heavyweight king, and [Paul] plays computers for a living and heâs come to boxing about a year ago. So, pretty even match.â
âThe Gypsy Kingâ believes that despite the criticism fight fans across the world will still be tuning in regardless.
Fury concluded: âFrom being a kid on the Disney Channel to fighting Mike Tyson. Who wouldnât want to do that? âŚPeople say, âOh, itâs s***â, this, that and the other. But, I bet they still watch it. Whoâs not intrigued?â
