Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to cash in again on December 21st.

The historic undisputed showdown didn’t disappoint with Usyk claiming a split-decision verdict from the judges at ringside.

But Fury has been quick to activate the rematch clause and they will battle it out again in Saudi Arabia.

The rematch was announced by His Excellency Turki Alalshikh on social media.

He wrote: “The rematch between the Undisputed Champion Oleksandr Usyk and the Champion Tyson Fury is now scheduled on the 21 of December 2024 during Riyadh Season…The world will watch another historical fight again…Our commitment to boxing fans continues…We hope you enjoy it.”

‘The Gypsy King’ is believed to have banked around £85m for the first undisputed clash, while the Ukrainian was rumoured to take home considerably less with a purse of around £30m.

But, because of the success of the first fight, the prize pool is set to be significantly increased for the rematch on December 21st, with the two heavyweights expected to split a monstrous £150m between them.

With Usyk holding all of the heavyweight belts he is now expected to command the lion’s share of the rematch’s earnings in a reversal of the first split.
