Twitter reacts to Liverpool losing Jordan Henderson and another ‘defender’ to injury

Liverpool’s run of bad luck has gotten even worse after makeshift centre-back Jordan Henderson was hauled off injured during the Merseyside derby at Anfield.

Henderson has been used mainly as a centre-back this season after a string of injuries left Liverpool shorthanded in the centre-half position.

Unfortunately for Henderson and Liverpool the 30-year-old is now the latest member of Jurgen Klopp’s injury list after he had to come off injured in the 29th minute of the Merseyside derby.

Jurgen Klopp has tried to fix the situation by bringing in Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak in the January transfer window but even with two new faces Liverpool are struggling in defence.

Liverpool now find themselves without the options of Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson for the centre-back position.

As expected Twitter went into overdrive upon the realisation that Liverpool had gained yet another injury and in particular in the centre-back position. Here are some of the best reactions.
