Rugby legend Brian O’Driscoll has brilliantly encapsulated the impatience Conor McGregor fans are feeling in the run up to the Jose Aldo fight on July 11 in Las Vegas.
The ‘Notorious’ has really captured the imagination of the Irish public and the fight will be a must see for sports fans.
Promotion for the fight began back in March – and the onslaught of since has prompted O’Driscoll to tweet: “This build up the the McGregor v Aldo fight seems longer than my bleedin year long ‘see ye folks I’m off’ debacle…”

The fight is hotly anticipated, but even the most fervent McGregor fan will see some truth in O’Driscoll’s joke.
The former Irish and Lions captain brought the curtain down on his illustrious career with victory over France to clinch the .
It was a fairytale ending, and like the McGregor fight, was surrounded by a circus of hype.
