Thomas Tuchel: I will think twice before signing unvaccinated players in future

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he will think twice before signing any unvaccinated players.

Chelsea’s pre-season tour has been disrupted by the fact they have not been able to take either N’Golo Kante or Ruben Loftus-Cheek to the United States with them.

It has been revealed that neither player has been vaccinated against COVID-19 and as a result have been denied entry to the USA to partake in Chelsea’s tour.

Tuchel was quizzed by the media as to whether he will now think twice before signing a player who hasn’t had their jab, to which the German replied:

“Yes, it has to. I know some players who I would also take without vaccination. I have to say. But, yes, it is a part of daily life at the moment.” (via the Telegraph)

Tuchel spoke in the week as to how he had no choice but to respect his players’ decisions, as it is their body and their choice whether to get vaccinated.

However, he is no doubt frustrated by the disruption and you could not blame him if he were to think twice in the transfer market in future.
