Trent Alexander-Arnold reveals plan to stop Marcus Rashford on Sunday🤔

Trent Alexander-Arnold has discussed how his Liverpool side plan to stop Marcus Rashford in their heated clash this Sunday.

Manchester United has been in red-hot form since returning from the World Cup in December and Rashford is a big reason why his side is sitting comfortably in the top four.

He is currently one of the most formidable players in Europe and is almost unplayable on his day.

This leaves Liverpool in the very unenviable position of trying to figure out how to stop the 25-year-old on Sunday.

Speaking ahead of their clash, Alexander-Arnold revealed how his side could try to stop the winger.

“The only thing that’s really changed is he’s probably scored a lot more recently but he’s the same player, he’s always a threat and I’m sure he will be a threat on Sunday,” he said.

“It will be a tough game but it’s one I’m looking forward to and it will be a good test.

“It’s difficult [to stop Rashford]. He’s a player who’s got a lot of weapons in his arsenal but I think it’s more of a team effort, it won’t be just a one-on-one thing.

“They’ll have more than just Marcus going forward, it’s a team thing and as long the team wins on Sunday, that’s all I’m bothered about.”

A win for Jurgen Klopp’s side would bring them to level on points with Newcastle and could reignite a final push for the Champions League spots.

  1. I wouldn’t worry about Trent trying to defend.
We know it is not his thing. I’m more interested in the battle of the two big Dutch men!! Weghorst will ruffle a few feathers.
Should be a cracker. Pub will be heaving.
