Tottenham are reportedly keeping an eye on developments surrounding Dean Henderson’s Manchester United future.
Though Henderson threatened to break into the Man United XI under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, David De Gea miraculously returned to his best performance level as the Englishman began breathing down his neck.
As a result, Henderson has been left rotting away among the Red Devils’ substitutes, which is hardly ideal for a 24-year-old who has the potential to be one of the best in the business.
If his situation remains unchanged, the expectation is that Henderson will look to leave Old Trafford sooner rather than later. According to Manchester Evening News, his next stop could be Tottenham.
Improbable as it may sound, the report notes that Hugo Lloris is out of contract with Spurs in the summer, meaning Antonio Conte’s men could soon be in need of a new goalkeeper. Henderson ticks all the right boxes.
The major question mark would be over Man United’s willingness to negotiate with a direct Premier League rival. That said, money talks, and if the price is right, Henderson could be heading to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2022.
