Tottenham offer their $1 billion stadium to the NHS to help roll out Coronavirus vaccines

According to the BBC Tottenham Hotspur have offered their brand new $1 billion stadium as a venue to roll out the Covid-19 vaccine.

Spurs are the first Premier League team to come forward and offer their facilities to the NHS to aid with the delivery of the much needed coronavirus vaccines.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is based in north London and is an ideal venue for the roll out as it can provide a large open space thanks to its ability to transform into an NFL field. 

It’s not the first time the state of the art venue will be used for medical reasons as the 62,000 seater stadium was used as an outpatients unit for North Middlesex Hospital during the first COVID-19 lockdown back in 2020.

Whilst being used as an outpatients unit back in 2020 the stadiums state of the art dressing rooms, interview rooms and media café were repurposed to help with the treatment of pregnant women.

The British government have set out to administer around 13 million vaccines to all citizens aged over 70, people who are clinically vulnerable and frontline health and care workers by mid-February.
