Tony Bellew intensifies comeback speculation amid Jake Paul links

Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew has intensified comeback speculation by sharing a snap of him looking ripped in the gym.

Bellew called time on his professional boxing career following defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. He determined that he had now suffered enough punishment and wanted to focus on family and his life away from boxing.

Still, he has been repeatedly linked with a return to the sport. We live in an era where no fighter can consider themselves TRULY retired until they drop dead – in no small part thanks to the Paul brothers.

Bellew has recently been mentioned as a potential future opponent for Jake Paul, who competes at cruiserweight, with even his former promoter Eddie Hearn discussing the possibility of the bout materialising.

While we’d still have to deem it improbable at this point in time, Bellew has lost the extra pounds he gained following retirement and shared a snap on Twitter of him looking absolutely RIPPED.

Paul wouldn’t stand a chance even against a 39-year-old, rusty version of Bellew, but were he to pursue a fight with the Evertonian, he looks ready to step into the ring whenever is necessary.
