‘Let’s get in the ring and fight’ – Tommy Fury hoping Jake Paul will agree to future bout

Tommy Fury has hit out at Jake Paul, demanding that the American fight him next, report Sky Sports.

While Tommy Fury is known better as Tommy from Love Island or the brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, he’s also a promising light heavyweight boxer himself.

Fury, despite his past reality TV endeavours, would be keen to disassociate himself with the recent circus surrounding the sport and insist he’s a ‘proper fighter’.

Jake Paul, on the other hand, despite being 3-0 heading into a bout with former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, is not. He appears intent on ducking Fury at every turn.

Paul has agreed for Fury to fight on the undercard of his upcoming battle with Woodley, but there doesn’t appear to be any intention of fighting him himself.

Fury is keen to change that, as he revealed to Sky Sports:

“I’m here and I want the fight. I will take it in a heartbeat. The ball is in his court. It always has been. He’s the one who controls everything. It’s either yay or nay.”

“I’m over the talking. Let’s get it on. Let’s put it to bed. Enough social media chat, which he loves. Let’s get in the ring and fight.”

“Stop making excuses, and make the fight next!”

It’s about time that Paul actually steps inside the ring against a professional boxer, should he want the public to take his boxing credentials seriously…
