A video of the heavyweights finally meeting has gone viral on social media.
Tom Aspinall has been very vocal in calling out the UFC heavyweight champion but Jones looks set to face Stipe Miocic instead when he returns from injury.
In the video Aspinall greets Jones before putting his hand on his shoulder. At this point Jones removed the Brit’s hand.

The video got a fair bit of reaction on X formerly Twitter.
One said: ‘Jones looking like an old man he don’t want that SMOKE.’
Another added: ‘And the Alpha goes to Jon Jones.’
A third commented: ‘Aspinall was checking his reach, high fight iq by the Englishman.’
Aspinall captured the ‘Interim’ Heavyweight title when he destroyed Sergei Pavlovich in just 69 seconds but it remains to be seen if Jones will accept the fight down the line.
