Gareth Southgate and Kalvin Phillips were both happy men as England defeated Croatia one nil at home at Wembley Stadium to open up their European Championship. A lot of people will fancy England to go a long way in this years tournament with the good mix of youth and experience England have in their squad.

Is Gareth Southgate the right man to finally deliver England a first major International trophy since that famous win in 1966 with Bobby Charlton as the captain. England have a right good chance, no doubt about it.
