What a cracking game of hurling that was today between two ages old rivals in Tipperary and Kilkenny at Croke Park.
The game went the way of the Premier county, but there was a point given on the scoreboard by RTE and indeed the scoreboard in the stadium. But actually it wasn’t a point at all ..

Footage of the Noel McGrath shot that was waved wide by the umpire but put up on the scoreboard by RTÉ and in the ground. Was never corrected. Official scoreline is including it. Both managers say they didn’t notice, they thought scoreboard was correctpic.twitter.com/JpvqjlPqvI

Replay and kick Cork out of championship
They probably won’t do it, but if Kilkenny did decide to issue a formal query then it could be a tricky one to explain for the CCCC.
I’d be raging if I were a KK fan!
It was nowhere near over. With all the officials miked up, the error should have been spotted. Owens should have held up the game until the scoreboard was changed. I don’t think it was the difference but it was absolute amateur stuff in one of the biggest hurling games of the year. I believe Owens was asked to clarify the score afterwards and he still gave the wrong score.
