Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after being charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

The 32-year-old Ghanaian appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

He has been charged with five counts of rape against two women, and a charge of sexual assault against a third woman.

According to a report from The Sun,  Partey raped women at his £6million mansion and at a five-star hotel in Spain.

The alleged offences took place between 2021 and 2022 when he was playing for Arsenal.

The report claims that Partey is accused of sexually assaulting a third woman by lying on top of her and trying to kiss her.

JPs heard Partey allegedly raped one of the women three times at his home in Hertfordshire.

He is also accused of attacking one of these women at a resort in Spain.

The court heard Partey sexually assaulted a third woman by lying on top of her, trying to kiss her and groping her without consent.

He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address during the brief hearing.

Partey was granted conditional bail to next appear at the Old Bailey on September 2.
