Former record breaking Irish rugby full-back Rob Kearney bade his debut for the Western Force in Australia at the weekend and he was chosen to be mic’d up during the game. This really is a class idea in rugby, would love to see it in other sports, gives fans a better insight and brings fans closer to the game. Watch this;

The Louth man made the move to Australia early in the new year and had to go through a lockdown quarantine when entering the country. Now there’s a country, Australia that really has got a handle on the virus and as a result Australians can largely go about their everyday life.

Rob Kearney is the record cap holder for Ireland at full-back having played 96 times for Ireland, incredible achievement for the man from country Louth and going by the video above there’s plenty more left in him.
