Des Cahill gave a nice tribute to U20 captain Brendán Óg Duffy who was sadly killed in a car crash on Friday night. The accident happened not long after he captained Monaghan to victory over Donegal, it really puts into perspective just how fragile life really is. Only 19 years of age Brendán Óg Duffy was, what a sad and horrendous loss of life. We wish the best to his family and friends at this difficult time as they try to make peace with this. Monaghan are now into the U20 Ulster football final and you just wonder how he’s teammates are going to play that game at all.

A tragedy that 'put all our silly sporting complaints into context. Bad decisions, bad performances… they don't really matter in the grand scheme of things, do they?'#RTEGAA pic.twitter.com/sSD4nkotoN

It was a pumper weekend in the GAA with some great games in both codes, but when something like this happens it just shows how little sport means in the bigger picture. R.I.P. Brendán Óg Duffy, you will be sadly missed by everyone that knew you.
