Could The Rock soon be returning to the WWE? The company’s social media channels have been ramping up the speculation that he could.
The Rock has not performed with the WWE since October 2019, but the door has never been completely closed for his return.
Nowadays his focus is firmly on Hollywood and building upon what has been a hugely successful acting career, but that’s not to say a return to the WWE couldn’t be in the pipeline for the future.
The WWE themselves sent fans into a frenzy by taking to Twitter to ask who people would like to see The Rock face off with. The tweet was part of their celebrations of his 25th anniversary.

That went some way to suggesting that The Rock will be returning to the WWE at some point in the future. He himself has also left the door ajar to a return and a tussle with Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

He was quoted by the Wrestling Observer saying, “Possibly down the road. We’ll see. We stay very close, myself and Roman Reigns. I don’t know if I have another title run, considering I’m The People’s Champion.”
“I don’t know if it’s another title run. Possibly, you know, there might be another match down the road. Just, it would have to make sense.”
