Wembley Stadium may be able to host a full arena of 90,000 fans for the Euros final under plans to use the NHS app to show who is vaccinated report the Sun.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed earlier this week that football fans can return to stadiums from May 17th at the earliest.
It was initially reported that up to 10,000 fans or a quarter of the capacity of the venue whichever may be less than 10,000 will be allowed into larger venues such as Wembley or Old Trafford.
Now we understand that Wembley may be able to host a full house for the Euros final if everybody in attendance is fully vaccinated.
Johnson is hoping to have lightened restrictions even more by June 21st which will mean the Euros should be able to host more fans at events.
Wembley is one of the chosen venues for the tournament and will play host to seven matches, including all three of England’s group games, a last-16 tie, both semi-finals and the final.
Should the NHS app idea not work out, Wembley may still be able to have a crowd of up to 45,000 people which will be the biggest event the UK will have held since early 2020.
