The Premier League returns tonight.
Manchester United face Fulham at Old Trafford to kick-off the 2024-25 Premier League season.
The Athletic have done their annual poll on whether fans are optimistic or pessimistic for the season ahead and there are some surprising results.
We can reveal that somehow Nottingham Forest fans are the most optimistic with a staggering 95% of voters feeling optimistic about the new campaign.
Mike Arteta’s Arsenal are less surprisingly in second in the list with another title race against the formidable Manchester City likely.
At the other end of the table with their fans expecting the worst are Manchester United with a 51% pessimistic rating.
But at the very bottom are Chelsea with a monstrous 71% of voters feeling rather worried about the season ahead.
