Bradley is 5 years old and has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Apparently there is nothing more that can be done for him but Bradley is positive and continues to fight on.
In September of 2016, Bradley walked out as a mascot for his favourite team Sunderland. The highlight of that whole experience was meeting his hero Jermain Defoe and having his name chanted and sung inside the stadium.

On his second trip out as mascot for Sunderland he got to play around with Chelsea players including the likes of Diego Costa and even got to take a penalty against Begovic which he scored and went on to win Match Of The Day Goal of the Month for December.
After Jermain’s involvement with Bradley he received over 2,500 Christmas and even one from Troy Deeney on behalf of the whole Watford team.
In February Jermain and other Sunderland players visited Bradley in Hospital and all Bradley wanted was to cuddle Defoe so Jermain did whatever he could to make Bradley comfortable, he got into bed with him and held him until he fell asleep and lied with him there while he slept as well. Defoe has said that Bradley’s story often makes him sad but he stays strong for his firend.

Jermain was called up to the England squad for the first time since 2013 and when Bradley heard he was ecstatic for him.

Then to realise he would be mascot and that Joe Hart was giving up his space at the front as captain so that Bradley could lead the team out was some of the best news he has ever heard.
I hope you had an amazing day @Bradleysfight. It was perfect to walk out at @wembleystadium with you… ⚽❤ #BestMates #England pic.twitter.com/mFBpy1MK02
