John Terry and Rio Ferdinand engage in FURIOUS war of words on Twitter

Posted by

England football legends John Terry and Rio Ferdinand have been butting heads on Twitter.

Terry and Ferdinand were once teammates and defensive comrades for the England National Team, but there doesn’t appear to be a great deal of respect between the pair anymore.

Ferdinand ruffled a few feathers after naming his top five Premier League defenders of all-time, putting himself first, Virgil Van Dijk third and compatriot Terry way back in fifth.

Clearly legitimately offended by it, Terry struck back at Ferdinand’s claims on social media, sharing photos of his immense trophy cabinet to attest to him being higher on the list.

There was evidently some bottled up tension between the pair because it hasn’t taken much to spark an all-out war on social media. Have a look at this exchange below.

Ferdinand bringing up the racism allegations against Anton adds an extra dimension of spice to the dispute. In truth, if he legitimately believes Terry’s guilt, the former Chelsea skipper is lucky to be in there at all.

It’s probably best if they avoid each other for the foreseeable.
