A supercomputer has predicted the outcome of the 2022 World Cup – and the final would be a truly mouth-watering prospect.
Club football will soon be hitting the pause button as players jet off to the middle east with their respective countries to compete in this year’s World Cup.
Every player involved in the tournament will have dreams of being triumphant, but who’s ultimately going to come out on top in this year’s edition?
Well, according to a supercomputer, it’ll be Lionel Messi and Argentina, who will defeat Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal in the final, on penalties!

It’s all based on data, which can oftentimes be used as an effective model for these kind of predictions, but it doesn’t provide any kind of certainties.
Still, can you imagine Messi and Ronaldo finally settling the decade-plus-long debate in the biggest game on the football calendar – and in a shootout.
England fans won’t be particularly pleased to hear the odds are stacking up against them, but considering recent form, they won’t be entirely surprised.
