Steven Gerrard’s Rangers can now officially clinch their first Scottish Premiership title in a ten years at the next Old Firm derby at Celtic Park now that the fixture has been re-scheduled for the 21st of March.
The BBC have reported that according to the SPFL the potential title deciding game will kick-off at 12pm on Sunday March 21st and depending on results Steven Gerrard’s men can scoop the title in Celtic’s own back yard.
Gerrard’s Rangers remain unbeaten in the league and are just six victories away from being confirmed as Scottish Premier League champions.
The Hoops trail their city rivals by a staggering 23 points with two games in hand. If both teams match each other’s results from now until the Old Firm, Rangers can seal glory at Celtic Park.
So far this season Rangers have been victorious in both Old Firm derbies this season and Gerrard’s men will be hoping to make it three in a row.
The potential league decider was initially scheduled for Saturday March 20th but the fixture has been put back by 24 hours at the request of broadcasters Sky Sports.
