Roma’s Stephan El Shaarawy had a run in with a car thief on the streets of Rome today according to reports from Sky Sports Italia.
The skilful forward showed his defending prowess this evening as he thwarted an attempted car robbery on the streets of the Italian capital.
He was walking back to his car when he noticed the thief smashing the driver’s side window, he then thwarted the attempt by beginning to chase the thief which ended in Stephan tackling him in front of many people.
The on-lookers then proceeded to contact near by police who came over to arrest the thief while El Shaarawy had him pinned on the ground.
The Italian has only recently returned to Roma after a spell in China and is yet to feature on the pitch. This isn’t exactly the welcome back he was expecting.
Amazing work from him to show his pace and tackle the thief, a big show of courage from Stephan.
