Arsenal have NOT made forward strides under Mikel Arteta’s stewardship. The stats are there to prove it, with Piers Morgan, of all people, sharing them for all to see.
Arteta is a much more flashy and fashionable manager than predecessor Unai Emery, with the fact he worked as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City always providing him with that edge of added attractiveness.

The only concern is, from an Arsenal perspective, that he’s quite clearly not a better manager than Emery, and certainly not Arsene Wenger. The North London giants are heading in the wrong direction.
In wake of yesterday’s 3-0 loss to Liverpool at the Emirates, ‘Wake Up’ author Piers Morgan shared a snippet of one of the Sunday papers which measured Arteta up against he predecessors at the Emirates.
It doesn’t make for fond reading for the Spaniard, and it makes you wonder if the Gunners ought to wake up themselves, appointing a manager with actual credentials beyond being Pep Guardiola’s assistant.
