The former Leinster and Ireland hooker was on RTE Sport yesterday for Stad Francais vs Leinster and the pundit ripped into the French team for bringing over a second string team to take on Leinster at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday evening.

The EPCR are going to have to look at this. Realistically, the current model isn’t working. It’s too easy to play a second choice side.
There was 42,000 people here tonight, and realistically, walking into the Aviva you knew the result. If Stade Francais brought their first team, okay it was highly unlikely they were going to win, but there was a little bit of jeopardy there and a bit of doubt.
The fans are being shortchanged. Even Leinster are being shortchanged, because they want a better hit out.
The format and the extra travel to and from SA, is causing these weakened teams and demeaning the
competition
