Spotify owner to team up with three Arsenal ‘invincibles’ and make bid to buy Gunners from Kroenke family

Good news could be in store for Arsenal fans after reports have emerged suggesting Spotify owner Daniel Ek is preparing to team up with three former stars and launch a bid to buy the club from current owner Stan Kroenke.

Arsenal, like many other top clubs, are under immense pressure following the recently collapsed European Super League plans fell through.

The backlash has been so intense that fierce protests broke out, outside of the club’s Emirates Stadium last week.

Hundreds upon hundreds of fans were seen chanting “We want Kroenke out!” – the scenes prompted Spotify founder Ek, who is also a self-confessed Arsenal fan, to express his interest in becoming the club’s new owner.

Taking to his Twitter recently, Ek said: “As a kid growing up, I’ve cheered for Arsenal as long as I can remember. If KSE would like to sell Arsenal I’d be happy to throw my hat in the ring.”

Well, the latest in the ongoing saga comes from an exclusive report from the Telegraph, who claim Ek is now preparing a formal bid.

It has been claimed that alongside Ek, former players Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira are also involved in the proposed takeover.

Should the Kroenke family agree to sell the club, the former Arsenal trio would likely take on internal roles and use their knowledge of the club’s culture to reignite the side’s on-field fortunes.
