Spotify owner Daniel Ek is set to launch a bid north of £2billion as he continues his efforts to buy Arsenal from the Kroenke family, according to the Daily Mail.
The fallout from the European Super League fiasco is still very much ongoing at the Emirates. Arsenal fans’ contempt for their ownership existed before the cash-grabbing attempt, and it’s showing no sign of stopping.
What will provide hope for Arsenal fans is the prospect of new ownership coming into the club and restoring its identity, and status, as one of the top clubs in the country, something that they haven’t been for several years now.
Daniel Ek, a Swedish billionaire who owns Spotify, looks to be the most plausible route out of this mess for Arsenal. The Daily Mail report that he is set to offer £2.1bn to the Kroenke family in an attempt to convince them to sell

That is, as is mentioned in the report, a £300m improvement on the offer which Ek had turned down by the Kroenke’s last month. It remains to be seen if it’s enough to get the deal done.
The Daily Mail report that sources close to Ek are insistent that they have no intention of walking away without having agreed a deal to purchase Arsenal, but whatever the bid made, they still need the ‘yes’ from the Kroenke’s.
There is currently no suggestion that Stan Kroenke, or any other KSE member, have any intention to sell their sell Arsenal, but if the carrot dangled by Ek is sufficiently sized, perhaps he could be tempted into departing.
