A League of Ireland game has been postponed as a player has reported symptoms of Covid-19.

Sligo Rovers and Waterford were due to play tomorrow night, but the game has now been called off pending the result of the player’s test for the disease.

The FAI say the Waterford player with suspected symptoms did not play in the club’s last game on Saturday against Shelbourne, but did travel with the team to the game.

The player reported Covid-19 symptoms ahead of training today. Waterford FC suspended the training session and the player will now undergo a test for Covid-19.
