Conor Counihan has been appointed as Project Co-ordinator for football by Cork County Board.
The Aghada man won two All-Ireland medals, three league titles and four Munster medals with Cork.
He guided the side to All-Ireland victory in 2010 during his tenure as senior manager team from 2008 to 2013.
Under his reign, the county also won three Munster titles and four Allianz League titles.
In recent years, he has been actively involved with Rebel Óg development squads and is a member of the board of Cairde Chorcaí.
This position of Project Co-ordinator is a newly-created three-year role which has as its key remit the implementation of the #2024 Five-Year Plan for Cork Football.
