Ireland have beaten Scotland 19-12 in their Six Nations opener at the Aviva Stadium.

The only try of the match came in the 11th minute with captain Johnny Sexton slicing through for a converted score.

Scotland threw everything at the hosts in the closing stages but some heroic defence saw Ireland hold on.
