Southampton make contact with Jesse Marsch over vacant managerial position

Southampton contacted recently sacked Leeds boss Jesse Marsch today over their vacant managerial position after Nathan Jones’ exit.

Jones was sacked after a torrid run of results as Saints boss, with the club now turning to Marsch in the hope he makes the move to St. Mary’s.

Marsch himself was sacked by Leeds United on February 6th after a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest so will be on the lookout for his next job.

The Saints will need someone to come in and get results immediately, with the club bottom of the Premier League with 15 points after 22 games and winless in the league since October.

Despite being just three points from safety, Southampton desperatelly need a win to stop the rot they are in and Marsch could be that man after showing the potential in his managerial ability during his time at Leeds.
