What a win that was for South Africa today against Argentina at a sold out Mbombela Stadium, the Springboks were simply superb from minute one and didn’t let up. It was a scarily good performance if we’re being honest.
During the game though, the song from the Irish band the Cranberries rang out through out the ground. Irish fans aren’t happy with this ..

"The Rassie theme tune starts up" – says commentator as Zombie by the Cranberries plays on speakers in Nelspruit. Are there no South African artists and songs they could sing? Rather than a song Munster and Irish fans have long been singing…

Ah shame, the world number one team , World Cup semifinalists, getting a bit chippy about another country having a singalong
Are you regretting singing it at the boks in the group stages of a world cup yet? Job done. It’s a song I hold near and dear since we lost Dolores. First played during half time of extra time in Landsdowne road vs Toulouse. I don’t think even Irish rugby should have commandeered it, let alone SA, who did out of spite.Yes we have our own but you don’t understand them. So we rather irritate you with this song as Rassie is still living in your head. Rent free in your head.I’m not sure what this “Zombie” song is that you are talking about. The song I heard was called “Rassie”. No Zombies in the lyrics whatsoever
Let the Irish fans be disgruntled about their own team who is yet to win a Webb Ellis Trophy
Well The Irish Brought This On Themselves. Saffas Don’t Get Mad…We Get Even! And WE’RE GOOD AT IT!
For the attention of the Editor:
Dear Sir
I will never visit this pathetic excuse for a “news” website again..
The desperation to generate content is palpable while the continued attempts to pit rugby fans against each other is contemptible.
This organisation goes against the ethos of the game and the fundamentals of its spirit. There is, or should be, a passionate love and respect for the game and its participants and audience. Its societal role is overwhelmingly positive and very obvious.
Rugby unites and, in SA, has a powerful, and much needed, effect on building unity, morale and hope.
Your continuous muckraking and efforts to justify your existence would be laughable if it were not so toxic and damaging to the game.
In conclusion, Sir, you and your ‘journalists’ are a poor example of, and a stain on the face of your profession.
Yours sincerely
A fan and ex-reader.
n’t call me, I’ll call you.
