Simon Jordan makes CONTROVERSIAL claim surrounding Manchester United and Real Madrid

Despite their recent lack of major competition success, Manchester United are still regarded as one of the biggest teams in world football, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Under the reign of Sir Alex Ferguson from 1986 to 2013, United won 38 trophies domestically and in Europe, but in the nine years since his retirement, the club have won just three competitions, going through five permanent managers in the process, leading to opinions from people that they are no longer one of Europe’s elite sides.

However on Talksport this morning, Simon Jordan gave his thoughts on how he believes the Red Devils remain a bigger football club than current and 14-time European Cup winners Madrid.

I think they have the capabilities to do things on a greater scale.”

With Madrid and United being regarded as the two most successful teams in football history, it is fascinating that they have only ever faced off once in a tournament final, that being the 2017 Super Cup, which Real Madrid won 2-1.
