All hell broke out last night at the FAI Cup final at the Aviva Stadium, between Shelbourne and Derry City. Flares were drown in direction of pitch of Derry goalkeeper Brian Maher, which seemed to kick the whole thing off. Derry could find themselves getting a heavy fine for this, as no one should be allowed fire flares at anyone! 

Damien Duff’s Shelbourne were comfortably beaten 4-0 at the Aviva Stadium by Derry City at the showpiece final.

There will be trouble after this and rightfully show, the FAI have to be seen to make a strong stance against this type of thing. Interesting few weeks ahead to see what comes from this situation…
