Shaquille O’Neill to take part in tag-team wrestling match this March

Posted by

Shaquille ‘Shaq’ O’Neal is a basketball legend after playing in the NBA for 19 years across six teams. He is now branching away from NBA analysis and taking a step into the world of wrestling.

Standing over 7 feet tall and weighing just under 150kg, it’s come as a shock to everyone that someone would call the giant out for a wrestling match but that is exactly what Cody Rhodes has done.

The former WWE wrestler who left the franchise in 2016 was twice intercontinental champion and was a tag team specialist winning six titles in the discipline called out Shaq recently and when he was on the ‘Inside the NBA’ post game show, Shaw responded to the call out, accepting the fight.

Live on March 3rd on All Elite Wrestling Dynamite, Shaquille O’Neal and Jade Cargill will take on Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet in tag team match.

Cody is an entire foot shorter than Shaq and weighs more than 50kgs less than the NBA legend so it’s hard to imagine Shaq losing on his AEW debut but anything is possible.

Will you be tuning into this crossover event?
