Shannon Briggs last fought in 2016.
‘The Cannon’ is set to return to the ring against an MMA legend, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson.
The former UFC star revealed the news on X formerly Twitter.
Jackson wrote, “It’s finally going to happen! Rampage vs. Shannon Briggs in Qatar this summer my 1st boxing match; don’t miss it.”
In a video he also appears to be holding a contract and said : “I’ve finally got the contract; it’s been over two years in the making of me here, Ms. Shannon Briggs ‘Mouth’. I get to shut him up once for all in Qatar, June 1….”

Briggs also confirmed the news on an Instagram live.
He said: “It’s on. It’s on. Let’s go champ. It’s on, that’s right. June 8th, hey listen, I’m telling y’all. He was talking crazy too; he was talking reckless. He was talking crazy, let’s see if he can win, let’s go champ, yeah man, it’s on. Who wants me to knock him out in the first round? Yoo, he outta here.”
One expects a few thousand ‘Let’s go champs’ before the pair meet in the ring.
