Shane Duffy and his mother Siobhain have taken to social media again to call out some of the online abuse they receive and still Instagram and other platforms do nothing to stop these people that are hiding behind the keyboard.
What is wrong with people! This is my son who is dealing with the loss of his best friend and father. How dare they. There is limits😡 it’s a game of football. Get a grip . Something needs to be done about these trolls. As if mental health isn’t bad enough so much for #BeKind

The Ireland International moved to Celtic on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2020 after struggling to get into the first eleven on a regular bases. Glasgow is a divided city and with Rangers winning the Scottish Premiership at the weekend it highlighted that even more. Rangers and Celtic have a bitter rival in the SPL and sometimes it encourages these online clowns.
We have seen the movement of ‘black lives’ matters in recent times, does social media need to do more in helping with sectarianism?
Shane Duffy recently lost his father and some of these online abusers are making light of this, surely this is unacceptable and social media platforms have to up their game.
