The Tullow Tank Sean O’Brien announced today that he will be retiring from rugby the 35 year old had some great days in the Irish, Leinster, London Irish and of course the Lions Jersey. He was a hard running number six that took no nonsense from anyone. Wonder what he will go into next? He does have a family farm down in Carlow and is involved in a few business.
We wish the Carlow man all the best in whatever comes next. O’Brien was a guy that came through the club game rather than schools rugby. A fan favourite and one that will be sorely missed by all rugby fans, as he was a great characters.

Mad to think Dan Leavy and Sean O’Brien have both announced their retirements in the same week.
Despite everything both back-rows achieved, imagine if they hadn’t suffered such big injuries in their careers.
