The former Lions and Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg was charged with threatening behaviour last weekend, a day after attending the Six Nations tie at Murrayfield.
Police were called out shortly before 5pm on Sunday, February 25, and he was arrested outside a home in Hawick, his hometown.
The Scottish Sun reported he had been taken to a local police station following the incident, where he was interviewed and later released.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.40pm on Sunday, 25 February, police were called to an address in Hawick.
“A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged. He was released on an undertaking to appeal at Jedburgh Sheriff Court at a later date. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
I want to applaud Stuart Hogg for being a complete & utter bellend.
