SAVAGE Chelsea fans start ‘gofundme’ page to ship transfer flop back to Spain

Chelsea fans have started a ‘gofundme’ page to ship Saul Niguez back to Atletico Madrid after another DISASTROUS cameo performance.

Saul, who was signed from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day, has been ranked among the finest midfielders in Europe in recent seasons, which left Chelsea fans excited to have got him through the door.

However, the Spaniard had started just two Premier League games for the Blues prior to last night’s tussle with Everton, being hauled off at half-time on both occasions.

While Thomas Tuchel did not repeat his mistaken decision-making on Thursday night by including Saul in the starting lineup, he did bring him on as a second-half substitute.

The result? Saul missed a rather straightforward header to gift Everton their equaliser before being responsible for the breaking down of several attacks as the Blues chased a winning goal.

Chelsea fans have, once again, been left scratching their heads over how a player who has achieved as much as Saul in their career could possibly be this bad.

Marina Granovskaia has an exemplary track record in the transfer market, but he will go down as one of her worst ever signings. She’ll be thankful that it was merely a loan deal.

Speaking of which, Chelsea fans appear keen to ensure said loan agreement is torn up when January comes around, with a ‘gofundme’ page having been started to pay for Saul’s travel back to Madrid.

It may seem a little harsh, but Chelsea are the reigning champions of Europe and were expected to be challenging for the Premier League title this campaign. Saul is quite simply not to that standard.

Not to mention that Chelsea have both Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour out on loan, both of whom are STREETS ahead of Saul on current form. The club ought to look into ridding themselves of him and bringing one of their own back…
