The Saudi Media Group may have MISSED the deadline to submit a bid to buy Chelsea Football Club.
Saudi Media were one of the fan-favourites to take charge of Chelsea, understandably so, considering the vast amount of wealth understood to be behind their attempted takeover.
Chelsea fans ignored the human rights violations and the rather problematic links to Newcastle owners PIF and grew excited about the possibility of their future bankroll under Saudi ownership.
However, it doesn’t actually look likely to materialise, with there currently being no word on whether their bid went through, a pretty strong suggestion that it didn’t.
There’s still no word on whether this bid has landed yet. I will update if I get something soon. https://t.co/sCDcAwl49I

It could’ve been the work of just a few individuals, associating themselves with the bidding for Chelsea in order to gain some cheap publicity, without any intention of actually buying the club.
Alternatively, the bid could have made the deadline and they are merely doing their work in silence, avoiding the media circus which has surrounded the Chelsea ownership situation.
Fans of the West London giants will have to wait and see…
