Saudi Arabia shocked the world when they pulled off one of the greatest World Cup upsets earlier today. Nobody expected them to get a win in their group never mind beating tournament favourites Argentina 2-1. It was only four years ago when they were humiliated by Russia 5-0 in the opening game of the tournament.
When Messi opened the scoring with a penalty in the first ten minutes there were worries this could turn into a blood bath. But thanks to two quick goals immediately after half-time, Saudi Arabia held on and came out as deserved winners.
As you would, they did not hold back with their dressing room celebrations after the historic win.

This leaves Argentina and more importantly Messi in a bad position. A second-place finish could see them matched up with the winners of Group D, which includes Denmark and France. If they fail to qualify for the group stages entirely it will be disastrous and leave an unwanted blemish on Messi’s almost flawless career.
