Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens’ long-running feud with The Bloodline and, more specifically, The Usos looks to be coming to a close after the events of the WWE Draft but that didn’t stop them having another great moment together on Raw.

The current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions will team with their fellow Raw roster member Matt Riddle against Smackdown’s Jimmy, Jey and their younger brother Solo Sikoa in a six-man tag match at Backlash this weekend in what is likely to be their last battle for a while following WWE’s latest attempt at a brand split.

Raw saw Riddle take on Jimmy in a singles match with Sami, KO and Jey at ringside supporting their respective partners.

In an ingenious moment that channeled the “Lie, Cheat, Steal” persona of the late, great Eddie Guerrero, KO went down as if he had been hit with a chair while Sami tossed Jey the chair before alerting the referee to the apparent ringside “assault”.

In what is likely to become a WWE meme in the weeks and months to come, Jey shot a bemused look as he was thrown out of the arena after being “caught” with the smoking gun.

Take a look below at a classic WWE stitch-up (shared on Twitter by @reigns_era)

It is the latest tribute to the legendary Guerrero from current WWE superstars, with Rey Mysterio’s WrestleMania entrance as well as the reformation of the old Latino World Order faction (of which Eddie was the leader of in the late-1990s in WCW) being the other obvious case.

As for what happened next? Jey’s absence led to his twin losing the match, which should set the tone for another defeat for the former tag champions at Backlash. It appears The Usos’ post-WrestleMania slump will result in further tension with Roman Reigns as The Bloodline saga moves past rivals like KO and Sami and becomes an internal family affair over the summer.
