Brian Cody has, as expected, named the same team that defeated Waterford in the All-Ireland SHC semi-final for Sunday’s All-Ireland final against Galway in Croke Park.
And there is a boost for Cats supporters too as Jackie Tyrrell and Richie Power are both named among the substitutes with Mark Kelly and Conor Martin unfortunate to make way.
The experience of both Tyrrell and Power, despite his sustained shortage of action, could be vital for Kilkenny if they are required as possible second-half impact replacements.
Cody has kept faith with a side that orchestrated a six-point defeat of the Déise in the last four and Kilkenny are rock-solid odds-on favourites to retain their title at headquarters.
